Orcom’s ABC

For the benefits of those who want to know what Orcom is about, more than from my personal view, which really didn’t define it, I made a separate post for it. I will try my best to define and describe it as less toxic as I can. πŸ™‚
The Program
BA Organizational Communication is a relatively young course, pioneered by my dear university, University of the Philippines Manila. Today, there are actually only two Universities offering the course: UP Manila and De La Salle Univesity.
Four years of stay in the program taught me that Organizational Communication, not very much like the other Communication courses (MassComm, SpeechComm), offers the opportunity to learn and explore the dynamics of communication inside and outside an organization. The program covers on the flow, structure, and levels of communication in a way that will benefit the whole system operations of the organization in general. Orcom majors are business people involved in communication.

    aLps said,

Under media, include New Social Media!! LOL

Well, I think the industry is not mature enough to have NSM as a separate entity. It’s always a support for Corporate Communications, Public Relations, etc. Hmm, let’s wait and see.
